This abstract photograph of an old boat reflected in the harbour is the actual colour, reflected in the water. It has not been altered. There is such a story in the cracks on the paint, the rough line on the hull paint and the unfinished nature of the repair.
The camera is a wonderful tool for capturing fine details that make up a story. This boat has been floating in the Sooke Basin of British Columbia, Canada, where I live, for 20 years. Originally, it owner hoped to repair it and live on it, but as he lapsed into mental illness, he became less and less able to work on it and now it languishes in the bay. The small photograph details tell the story of its history. This image is available in a wide variety of sizes and materials.
